SMM September 26 News:
This week, the operating rate for die-casting zinc alloy was recorded at 49.73%, down 4.04 percentage points WoW. In terms of raw material inventory, zinc prices fluctuated at lows this week, prompting enterprises to restock at low prices and gradually pick up goods, leading to an increase in raw material inventories at plants. Additionally, with the upcoming holiday, die-casting zinc alloy enterprises slightly increased finished product inventories to meet downstream demand during the holiday. The decline in this week's operating rate was mainly due to extreme typhoon weather in Guangdong, where enterprises had 1–3 days off, resulting in reduced overall production. From the perspective of end-user orders, actual demand remained relatively modest, and although end-users engaged in pre-holiday stockpiling, the overall volume was relatively small, mostly for normal holiday stockpiling. Next week, as the National Day holiday approaches, die-casting zinc alloy enterprises are expected to gradually enter the holiday period, with the operating rate likely to fluctuate around 47.01%.
